| 1.
SCOPE |
|
1.1
Furnish model SMK________ with weatherproof roof is conforming
to the following specifications. Building
to ship completely assembled.
1.2 Related work not included in this section; electrical
service supply and connection, foundation work, and
anchoring. |

|
| 2.
MATERIALS |
|
2.1
PRODUCT CONSTRUCTION - Building shall be of welded
construction with al intersecting welded
connections ground smooth. Overall
height to be 96" with exterior waterproof roof.
2.2 STRUCTURAL FRAMEWORK - Structural corners
and uprights to be 2" x 2" x .120 structural ASTM
A500 Grade B welded tubing.
2.3 FINISH - Exterior surfaces of steel walls
and corners to be full flush, smooth, and unbroken by visible
seams or caulked joints. Interior
wall surfaces shall be flush, smooth welded construction with
no exposed
fasteners. All interior and exterior
steel surface shall b electrostatically painted with rust inhibitive
epoxy
primer and shall have a finish
coat of air-dry industrial acrylic paint. Building to be painted
one color, as
selected from standard acrylic finishes.
2.4 WINDOWS - Windows to be fixed type with industrial
quality anodized aluminum frames.
2.5 GLASS-GLAZING - Glass to be 1/4" clear
tempered safety glass.
2.6 BENCH(optional) - Bench to be constructed
of aluminum (or painted galvanized steel). Bench to be
shipped installed and complete
with a 10" deep seat with a vertical back rest.
2.7 EXTERIOR ROOF- Exterior waterproof
roofs are required for any outside application. Roof to include
roll-formed interlocking pans,
fascia trim, and matching gutter fascia. Roof to be installed
on building with
3" nominal overhang.
2.8 SMOKING ACCESSORIES(optional)
2.8.1 Wall urns to include non-removable hinged top,
stainless steel flip bowls, and removable inner liner with
steel body
and backplate.
2.8.2 Combination ash and trash receptacle to be wall
mounted with removable waste receptacle and flip top
ash tray. |

INSTALLATION
SUGGESTIONS:
|
|
1.
Pour concrete island minimum 4" deep. The island should
be a minimum of 12" wider than the roofline dimensions
to
allow a 6" concrete border on each side
of the building roofline. Level the pad and install a bollard
at each corner of
the building to further protect the building
from damage caused by traffic. |
2.
Provide three-wire 240v/110v single-phase service to the concrete
island. Refer to detail drawings, which illustrate
the proper "stub-up" location. |
3.
Buildings arrive via flatbed truck. The trucker must contact
you 24-hours prior to deliver to arrange for off-loading.
Use either a forklift truck (with fork-extensions
when required) or overhead crane to off-load the building from
the
flatbed. If an overhead crane is used, be
sure to use "spreader bars" to prevent the building
fascia/roof from being
damaged by the sling/straps. Square the building
on the pad and anchor. |
4.
Recommended concrete anchor is 1/2" x 4" galvanized
or stainless steel, or comply with local codes - whichever is
most stringent. |
5.
Make final electrical connections and clean the work area. If
downspouts are included with your building, they must
be installed by others on site. |
